FAQ: Sefirot: the Gilded Legacy
For the most up-to-date information about the status of our project, check our project updates on Kickstarter!

How does this edition differ from previous Sefirot releases?

The Gilded Legacy features entirely new gold foiling patterns, an exclusive card back design, upgraded packaging, and the comprehensive Opus Aureum guidebook. If certain stretch goals are reached, it will also feature entirely new cards. This is the premium collector’s edition we’ve always envisioned.

I already own the deck, can I get an upgrade?

If you are looking for an upgrade without purchasing the deck, the SCHOLAR tier might be the one for you, featuring only the new Opus Aureum guidebook. This contains spiritual insights, setting lore, and musings on the wider meaning of the deck from a Dioscorian perspective.

Will the board game be included?

No, this edition focuses purely on the Tarot experience. The board game remains available through our previous campaigns and retail partners.

Can I still use these cards with the Sefirot board game?

Absolutely! While the card backs are different, the faces maintain compatibility with all Sefirot game modes.

Keep in mind that the full sized tarot cards can be a bit of a tight fit on the Sefirot board.

What about shipping costs?

Shipping will be calculated and charged after the campaign through our pledge manager. We’ve partnered with fulfillment centers in the EU, US, UK, and Australia to minimize costs.

Last updated: February 10, 2026 14:31

Why does shipping take so long?

While most of the work is already done, the last few design choices and production need a little more time. We also learnt in the past that manufacturing a multitude of different components is prone to difficulties and there can always be some delays here or there. Be assured we’ve built some cautious margins into our plans.

Do you ship to XY country?

Yes, the only countries we’re not able to deliver to are Belarus and the Russian Federation.

I never backed a Kickstarter before, how does this all work?

First, you back the project here on Kickstarter. Your pledge means that you support us in making the project, and that you will receive the rewards associated with your pledge tier. A few weeks after the Kickstarter campaign, you will get an invitation to the so-called BackerKit pledge manager. This will be sent to the email address you use on Kickstarter, so please make sure this is an address you check regularly! Follow the link and you will find the Backer Survey. There, you enter the information we need to ship the products to you – usually just your shipping address. You will also get the chance to change your pledge to a higher one if you would like to, or to add add-ons. Afterwards you pay for shipping, which depends on which country you want the physical rewards to be shipped to. When you are done with your Backer Survey and paid for shipping or any potential upgrades to your pledge, you are all done on your side! The rest is on us. We’ll make sure to finish production and manufacturing as soon as possible and send your rewards to you. We will stay in touch with updates and calls to action if there’s anything you need to do throughout the entire process, so you always know what you have to do. Don’t worry, it’s not complicated!

What is the BackerKit pledge manager?

A few weeks after the Kickstarter is over, backers will receive a link inviting them to their pledge survey on BackerKit, a website that will allow them to add items and pay for shipping, add-ons, etc. It functions much like a web store with photos and descriptions of each item. You will be able to enter your address and edit it before we ship the rewards. Nearly all large Kickstarter projects use a pledge manager as they greatly help organize, track, and fulfill orders.

I’m currently not able to pledge for a higher reward, can I still upgrade my pledge after the campaign ends?

Yes! It is totally possible to make a small pledge now, then upgrade to a higher pledge after the campaign via BackerKit’s pledge manager. Prices in the pledge manager will be the same as during the Kickstarter, as long as you already backed anything during the campaign. We will leave the pledge manager open for several months after the Kickstarter, so you’ll have time.

Last updated: February 06, 2026 02:58

Is it possible to get add-ons without ANY other pledge if I pledge $1 to get access to BackerKit?

Yes, you will be able to add add-ons in Kickstarter or in the pledge manager at the discounted backer price as a $1 backer.

Last updated: February 06, 2026 02:58

Is it possible to change my pledge during or after the Kickstarter campaign?

Yes. During the campaign you can change your pledge with the “Edit My Pledge” link on the campaign page. After the campaign you can upgrade your pledge via BackerKit, which will open a couple of weeks after the Kickstarter closes.

Last updated: February 06, 2026 02:58

When will my payment be taken out of my account?

Funds will be processed for this project after the campaign closes. You will receive an email from Kickstarter with further details.

Last updated: February 06, 2026 02:58

When can I get a refund?

Refunds are available until the orders get locked on BackerKit.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
